How the championship
is won.

Each franchise team comprises top designers, celebrity models, stylists and digital creators. Teams battle through a series of themed challenges and showcases; scores carry forward to the finale.

01 The Draft Franchises assemble a team: designers, models, stylists, digital creators and production partners. 02 Qualifying Rounds Territory rounds staged by national franchise partners under WFL standards. 03 Themed Challenges Briefs that test design, creativity, styling and innovation against the clock. 04 The Showcases Broadcast-grade runway presentations judged in the room and on the feed. 05 The Grand Finale The crowning of the World Fashion Champions at the flagship global show.

The Teams

A WFL team is not a single designer with a rail of clothes. It is a squad: designers who set the direction, stylists who sharpen it, models who carry it, digital creators who broadcast it, and production partners who can actually make it at volume.

That is the point of the league format. It rewards the whole chain — the idea, the execution and the ability to ship — rather than a single look on a single night.

The answers competitors, franchises and partners ask for most often.

Franchise teams register on behalf of a league. A team is built from designers, celebrity models, stylists and digital creators, and may also include pattern makers, textile partners and a production house. Individual designers and models can register interest and be drafted by a team.

Teams are scored across design, creativity, styling and innovation through a series of themed challenges and showcases. Scores carry forward across rounds and culminate in a grand finale that crowns the World Fashion Champions.

A national or city franchise owns the right to field a team, run qualifying rounds in its territory, host WFL programming locally, and commercialise the league in that market under WFL standards.

Qualifying rounds are staged by franchise partners in their own territories. The grand finale is staged as part of the WFL flagship global show, alongside the Fashion Week Carnival and the WFL Fashion Summit.
